Impact and Dissemination
JMC activities were inserted in the curriculum of the University both undergraduate and masters programs (the mentioning of Jean Monnet Chair in the relevant activities), as links in the site of both the University, the Department of IAES and Erasmus + new site, whereas a new internet site was established and is disseminating activities of the Jean Monnet Chair EU Solidarity in Ciproha (www.ciproha.panteion.gr).
A two page leaflet was prepared on the activities of the Jean Monnet Chair and was distributed in all relevant Conferences and International Cooperation projects of the JMC holder (e.g. in Jean Monnet Network GovuNET, Coordinator University of Aegean /Panos Grigoriou and Luxembourg) the JMC of M.D.Marouda is included as a Partner from Panteion University, and is visible in all activities of the Network (Conferences for Phd students, Summer Schools and Workshops). JMC is also included in all the leaflets presenting the JM Network.
Moreover, the JMC activities were presented during the Study Trip of Panteion University Master Program International Law and Diplomatic Studies, from 25 Feb-4th March 2017, before Directorates from the Council of Europe and EU Delegation to CoE, during the International Conference on "Human Dignity in times of crises and conflicts" 25th -28th of May 2017, which included a part devoted to subject matters of the JMC. The Program, Concept Note, List of Participants, plus all the distributed plans of methodology of all students, included the logo of the JMC and Erasmus +, enhancing visibility of the activities of the JMC to the more than 150 participants of the Conference and the relevant Seminar. A 2-page leaflet on the JMC was also distributed among the participants, in the relevant file prepared for them. The Participants, included the President (Raymond) and VicePresident (sicilianos) of the European Court for Human Rights, The Director General of the Council of Europe Directorate on Human Rights (the then Boillat, and the current Ch. Giakoumopoulos), St. Labrianides, Mayor of Athens G. Kaminis, Professors of International and European Studies, International Committee of the Red Cross Legal Department Representatives, UNHCR and NGO members and many many others.
The JMC also took part in the public consultations of the Region of Crete on the Management of Floods, Risk assessment and the relevant EU Directives for a preparedness plan and response of natural disasters, addressing participants, local authorities, present (September 2017, Heraklion, Crete).
The JMC activities were also presented on the 1st of September during an event organised by JMC holder Foteini Asderaki, bringing together a number of JMC holders and Centres of Excellence, etc (University of Pireus 1st September 2017). With Foteini Asderaki, and Panos Grigoriou, we are members of the JMNetwork GoVuNEt and therefore enhance even more impact of our activities, through common endeavours.
Finally, a Conference will be organised in the coming months, on EU Solidarity and Migration, as part of the JMC activities and we have already signed a contract with the well known publisher Nomiki vivliothiki, who has agreed to publish the proceedings and have both the event and the publication disseminated through a wide network of stakeholders.
