It is a socially committed, innovative institution that contributed immensely to the teachings of social and political sciences, international law and international relations and in particular on EU integration and its theoretical underpinnings.

The International European and Area Studies Department drawing on Panteion’s long tradition in international law and international affairs, promotes today an ambitious modern program of particularly high standards, giving emphasis on a multi- scientific approach and the attachment of theory into practice (see relevant external evaluation performed within 2013-14 at http://deps.panteion.gr/images/EEC_Final_Report_DEIAS_Panteion_2_February_2014_17_2_14.pdf ). Many of them have taken active part in the field of Greek foreign policy, as well as in the international framework of the European Union, the United Nations and other international organizations. Practical experience is also underpinned by in-service training/internship (stage) in national and international institutions, incl. the EU, through a European Program that is run by our University for more than 6 years now.

Moreover, our Masters Program includes the specialized fields of International Law and Diplomatic Studies, European Law and Policy, Environment and Sustainable Development (Jean Monnet Program), and International Political Economy.
